Our bagasse food takeout boxes are not only durable and functional, but they are environmentally friendly too! These clamshell style takeout boxes are constructed with a unique material made from sugarcane pulp that is easily renewable and uses less energy to produce than many of the alternatives. The hinged clamshell style is easy to open and close and features a secure tab-lock closure to make loading them a breeze. The interior of the box is divided into three compartments so you can keep your entrées and sides separate. These boxes ship nested for convenient shipping and easy usage.
These food containers have a durable molded construction that has a natural resistance to oil and moisture. The added PLA interior lining is made from plant starches as an alternative to plastic. The PLA lining offers superior leak resistance and is fully compostable. This allows you to use these boxes for messy or greasy food items with no issues.
Bagasse boxes are FDA approved and perfect for both hot and cold food items. They can be used safely in the microwave and freezer. They are best composted in commercial composting facilities – limited to where infrastructure exists.
